I absolutely LOVE proposals and getting to photograph a Stone Tower Winery proposal was incredible!! Aarti’s twin sister, Archana, found me through Instagram and reached out to me at the end of last week with something super fun! Her twin sister was going to get proposed to at Stone Tower Winery on Memorial Day!! Angel had already asked permission from both of their families and Archana had been in on the secret for a while. Aarti & Angel had met at work and had been dating for 3 years so Aarti had a hunch that when he took her out to Stone Tower it might be to propose 🙂 Archana was just super excited for her twin sister to FINALLY find out so she would no longer have to keep in her excitement! She had a full party with all their family and friends back home for Aarti as soon as she had said yes!
I wasn’t planning on actually working on Memorial Day but I really couldn’t pass up a proposal at my favorite winery 🙂 I got there early and grabbed a glass of rosé in order to blend in with the crowd as much as I possibly could!! I saw Aarti and Angel as they started on their wine tour wearing a pink maxi dress and a pink shirt exactly as Archana had described. They went up to the vines above the hill and then as they were walking back across I waited for them to start walking down since Archana had mentioned that their tour guide would walk them to the pond near where I was sitting and then pretend she had left a bottle of wine and would leave the two of them alone. However, as I pretending to take pictures of the pond & the wines, I lost sight of them!!
I figured they must have gone inside to look at the barrel room but I trekked back up towards the patio just to make sure I hadn’t lost them! And just as I was checking by the vines, I saw them come back out and down the path to the water. I had to literally fast walk and JET down the hill and ended up crossing right in front of them to get back to my spot. As Angel was talking to Aarti by the pond he gave her a big hug and I knew he would be asking the question soon!! I scooted a little closer, pretending to be friends with another couple enjoying the pond and keyed them in to what was about to go down! After talking some more, Angel finally got down on one knee to ask Aarti to be his wife and she said YES!!! A couple of people across the pond started cheering and congratulating them 🙂
Congratulations Aarti & Angel, I’m so excited for you two and I’m so glad I was able to photograph such a special day for you both!!
