I’m so excited for today’s wedding day blog post! I had the honor of being able to photograph Jessica & Eric’s intimate fall wedding at a manor in Bluemont Virginia last month! They had a beautiful Monday wedding that was nestled in the mountains and I have to say, their wedding has really made me really appreciate micro-weddings π
Jessica & Eric met when they started working together at the same restaurant. After about a year of working together and hanging out with mutual friends outside of work, they finally went on their first date on Christmas Day! They had the best first date possible skating at Georgetown Ice Rink and I can’t think of a more magical first date!! Georgetown in the winter during the holidays is one of my favorite places! After dinner they went back to Jessica’s place where Eric prepared a gnocchi dinner. They bonded over many more nights cooking together!
After some time together, Eric popped the question in Nashville on the second night of their trip there on top of a rooftop at sunset. They love how they make a great team together and they appreciate each other’s adventurous spirits! Even as they were getting ready, you could tell how much of a team these two are and rely on each other. I loved that they exchanged gifts before their ceremony (such a sweet tradition) and everyone could not stop talking about how well they incorporated Jessica’s son during their ceremony. There were two more surprise moments that made this wedding day so special! You’ll just have to scroll to see what they were π
These two truly love each other and are committed to starting their life together as a married couple β even if their wedding day looked a little different than they had imagined with having a big ceremony out in Colorado! Despite changing their plans, they were both still so excited to spend an extended weekend together with their friends and family and be married among the Bluemont mountains that they love to escape to for date nights! You’ll have to scroll down to see the highlight of the day as they surprised each other with gifts for their wedding day!
