Because of how CRAZY the day was, I didn’t even get to appreciate this until when I was in Lightroom editing my heart out being SO happy with how the shoot turned out the night after! The whole team really rallied despite less than ideal (aka 30-40 mph wind gusts and cold!!) conditions for a gorgeous shoot. Everything came together so beautifully and brought our vision of dusty, rose gold, gold and blush details at sunset at Capitol Hill to life! We were initially inspired by the softer muted color palette of early summer dusks on Capitol Hill and were so thankful to photograph everything there! We knew we wanted something a little more modern and playful and loved the texture that the rose gold terrariums and geometric flower lanterns brought to the luscious soft floral table scape. We had very much a broader general vision with softer colors and romantic details for the day and figured out the little parts and played around with what we had on the day of for the final aesthetic!
Despite the crazy windy day these two were such champs for braving the day to get some BEAUTIFUL portraits!!! It was so funny to see what went from a quick casual mention of needing a planner for a styled shoot after already having just been talking with Angelica, to multiple sessions over Facetime planning out our vision for the shoot! We each had elements that we envisioned to come together but what struck me as the most valuable was being able to be flexible about the little things when we had to opt for our second option on smaller things like the silverware, etc. The rose gold details, the dress, the florals, the shoes, calligraphy and cake and the hair & makeup were ON POINT though and I’m so honored to have been able to capture all the hard work of our dream team of vendors 🙂
OBSESSED with these shoes!!
And of course some behind the scenes of putting it all together!!
