Helena and I planned out her shoot in a little less than a week which was a lot quicker than usual but it turned out perfectly! I was super excited to meet her after talking to her over email to plan out her navy and white nautical themed senior shoot. Helena recently graduated from South Lakes High School, which is where I went as well! We met at Alexandria Cupcake in Old Town Alexandria and talked while walking along to Princess Street to grab some pictures on the famous cobblestone. I loved getting to talk to her about her senior class, what graduation was like for her, teachers that we knew of from South Lakes, mutual friends and about her plans for the summer as we walked to Market Square and then down to the waterfront! We got gorgeous pictures during golden hour down by the docks which matched the nautical preppy vibe she was going for! Although she loves the New England nautical look, I’d say we made do pretty well with the docks at Old Town! We topped off the night with THE perfect photo moment thanks to a stranger and a super cute fur baby 🙂 Here’s some of my favorites from her session!
Oh man these photos by the dock are some of my all time favorites from this summer so far!! Helena and I share a love for the water so my photographer and her nautical heart were soo so happy with how these spots turned out!!
Our entire time Helena would point out all these cute dogs that we would pass by on the way to photo spots. Her defining characteristic could be her love for dogs and puppers, no matter their shape or size 🙂 So her night was MADE when a guy saw her eyeing these two cute chihuahas that were on the loose and he scooped one up and put it in her arms to get a quick picture with!! Helena, I loved getting to spend the evening with you getting entirely too excited about puppies and boats 🙂 It was the perfect evening for your pictures and I hope you like them and that they’re everything you wanted them to be!! Have fun traveling up to Maine this summer and relaxing at the beach with your family!
