I had the absolute honor of getting to capture such a special collaboration between Riley Sheehey and Sue Sartor. I had been following Riley’s work since 2013 and have always loved seeing her Washington DC prints since she’s such a talented artist that’s practically in my backyard!
A past colleague of mine shared that she was looking for a last-minute photographer and I jumped at reaching out to her! I was even more excited to hear that she had designed a capsule wardrobe with Sue Sartor whose dresses are absolutely incredible!
Getting to photograph some branding images for their collaboration was one of favorite photography moments of this year 🙂 Here’s what Sue had to say about the inspiration and story behind their collaboration:
“💐On a Zoom call last year to introduce all of the @SouthernLivingMag Tastemakers, I was thrilled to log-in to see Riley on my screen in one of my dresses. We immediately hit it off and felt an instant spark of inspiration when talking about our processes for painting and printing. It truly was authentic excitement and curiosity that led to this collaboration.
