I knew from the first five seconds that I sat down with Christine back in October last year that I wanted to be able to photograph her wedding at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek! Christine is SO joyful and sweet and you can tell from the first couple of minutes you spend with her. She told me all about how she had met Kenneth after she had moved to DC after graduating college. They had their first date out at the Wharf (where we took their engagement photos!) and their first date lasted hours and hours and ended over ice-cream aka the way to Christine’s heart!!
Hearing her talk about Kenneth you hear the admiration, respect and love that she has for him! And this is so evidently clear from all their wedding day pictures as well 🙂 These two simply adore each other and love each other with everything that they have. Christine’s sister talked about how Christine had described the two of them as puzzle pieces that fit perfectly and seems to have been made for each other. Not only are Christine and Kenneth the sweetest souls, they are incredibly welcoming and so fully love and cherish not only their parents but their grandparents as well. They were lucky to have both their grandmas make it to the wedding and took time during their reception to thank them personally for it.
I absolutely loved that these two incorporated pieces of their past such as Christine’s grandmother’s heirloom bracelet, Kenneth’s parents’ wedding day champagne glasses and the New Orleans tradition of doing a second line into their reception, complete with the cute umbrellas! But making their own traditions, Christine gifted Kenneth a watch and a book full of notes for him to read that he absolutely LOVED and they did a first look where they saw each other before their ceremony! Kenneth had been nervous and anxious to see his bride and you could tell that as soon as he turned around, he instantly felt better because there, right before him, was his bride!!! His puzzle piece. They spent time just hugging, talking and simply BEING together on their wedding day!
I absolutely loved being able to capture their day from beginning to bubble exit end!! Christine and Kenneth, thank you so much, really from the bottom of my heart! I absolutely can’t wait to share the rest of the images from this day so you can remember it and cherish it forever. You’re both incredible and I hope you have an absolutely amazing honeymoon 🙂
Loved that Christine’s parents walked her to her first look!
Loved this crew!
