It feels like YEARS ago that I got to meet with Julie & Deep during their consultation. I loved how much they looked to each other during the consult and took everything in stride together! They met during their very first year at Virginia Tech and became super close right off the bat. Meeting them at their engagement session was INCREDIBLE! I had actually been really sick for the past week and battling through a marathon of grad sessions when I drove from UVA to VT and back in one day for their engagement session! Julie wanted to snag some photos in the beautiful Hahn Horticulture Garden as well as grab some of the two of them in their cap & gowns before their graduation last year! We ended up getting a quick dinner and I kept wanting to stay with them and talk with them for much longer than I could for that day! It felt like we were best friends. And I donβt say that lightly when it comes to Hokies guys!! But we seriously had so much in common, it felt like we would have definitely been friends had we gone to college together π
Their wedding day was one that I was so eagerly excited for!! I got to know them both and see how much they love each other and truly love commemorating the milestone moments during their engagement! To be able to be the one besides them for a day they had long been anticipating was nothing short of an honor. Julie & Deeps families were SO welcoming and I canβt quite express how much it meant to me that Julie asked me to come to her Mehndi the night before the wedding as a GUEST. A guest, not a photographer!! I was blown away and I always am by couples that treat me like family!
Their wedding day was absolutely beautiful! After the pandemic situation was coming close to their original June date, the couple decided to move their wedding day to their 5 year anniversary on August 7th. It still took place at St. Maryβs and the German Club, so very close to the campus and place where they first fell in love.
