Whew, what a crazy week! I feel like I say that pretty much every week, but this one was one for the books, or well the Internet I should say! Breaking this week down for you real fast before I knock out for the night!
– GO TEAM!!! Our girl won the dance off at the mixer and we had SUCH a great time performing at the East Coast Showdown this past weekend in Charlottesville!!! I loved being at my home school, UVA, for the weekend and being able to get endless amount of Millie Joe coffee, grabbing some Bodos, and performing at the Paramount Theater on the Downtown Mall!

After our competition on Saturday, I had a much needed recovery day spent eating lunch at Boylan and trying to stay out of the rain. Unfortunately a stomachache took me out of rooting in my normal loud fashion during the Superbowl, but the game was sooo good!! All the props to the Eagles for pulling out the win, they truly deserved it 🙂
On Monday I traveled from Charlottesville in the morning to Richmond for Hope Taylor’s 2 day wedding & senior photography workshop!!! You’ve seen all the Instagram posts by now and so you know that I had THE BEST time and learned ALL the things! I can’t wait to implement so many new things into my business and it was great getting to meet the other Hope Taylor interns for the year!! I got to meet 2 photographers and 2 other wedding vendors whose work I’ve been following for SO long and it was amazing 😀 I’ll be sure to share a blog post about both days soon!!!
Loved this group shot by Erika Lynn Photography who doubled as a model for our shoot!
^ Apparently I was so blown away from the setup, I couldn’t even keep my eyes open for this one hahaha
Here’s a quick sneak of the setup!
I stayed with my friend Kayuri and was able to grab dinner with her and another friend in Carrytown! It was fun being able to catch up with them both and Sugar & Twine over there has some amazing coffee! Totally forgot to get a picture together…
I came back Tuesday night to something that made starting at a new project on Wednesday a littleeee bit difficult…..I had a bit of a crazy morning trying to figure out exactly where the work building was as well (people watching me do constant 180’s on the streets of D.C. probably thought I was insane) but then the day mellowed out and I got settled into my new work place 🙂 Everyone was SUPER nice, welcoming, helpful and accommodating and I got to start helping out the team from my very first few days which is a good sign! I also get to catch up a little bit with a friend I haven’t seen much since middle school who is on the same project which was awesome!!
I was able to share Courtney & JJ’s D.C. wedding which is actually now SO close to where I’ll be working on a daily basis. I LOVED the D.C. and Parisian vibes on their day and I get to see them pretty much every day now!!! Huge shout out to Chelsea Schaefer for having me along to help capture their beautiful wedding 🙂 Can’t get over these two!!!
We had practices this whole week for our upcoming competition in Binghampton, New York so by the time you read this, I will most likely be on my way over DCBC’s second competition in a row! We’ll be competing at Bhangra Fever and we’re looking to up our game from last weekend and make a lasting impression at this competition!!! Not gonna lie, it’s gonna good 😀 Also, we mayyyyy or may not be sporting onesies at the after party, you’ll just have to wait and see 😉
That’s it for now folks, if you made it to the end of this you get a thumbs up! Hope everyone is up to something fun this weekend!
