After a weekend full of second shooting a gorgeous wedding and moving into my new apartment in Ballston and a week full of editing three weddings & setting things up in the apartment, it’s finally Friday!!! It also happens to be the Friday before my birthday so double woo for that! Although in all honesty, it doesn’t really FEEL like my birthday is coming up at all. I AM super excited though because I’m heading back to Charlottesville today to spend the weekend there! I’m calling it a birthday trip but more than celebrating my birthday I’m looking forward to:
-Hanging out with everyone who’s there and meeting some new people on the bhangra team!
-Crossing some things off the fall bucket list which I blogged about over here! Saturday will be spent at Pippin Hill with some rosé for sure & Carter’s Mountain because when you’re in Charlottesville in the fall, you HAVE to get apple cider doughnuts from there!
-Trying to cram in eating at ALL the restaurants that I miss so much on the Corner like Basil, Pigeon Hole, Cafe Caturra (RIP my bank account….)
-OOH and watching the Friday night UVA game!!! but at Boylan since I’m no longer a student and can’t get in to football games for free hahaha but I haven’t ever experienced a UVA game at bars, so Boylan it is! Hopefully the Hoos come through again for another W this weekend but I won’t get my hopes up TOO much hahaha
-There’s also the Sunday night Concert for Charlottesville that somehow everyone except Naveen seemed to get tickets too hahaha but it’s all good, we plan on finding a good spot outside of the stadium and peeking/listening in on it from afar 🙂 I’ll be happy if I can pick up on ANYTHING live from our homeboy J.T. and Cage the Elephant!
-I’ll be counting on snaps from my brother hoo did manage to get a ticket. He’s drowning in midterms next week but managed to snag a ticket so he’ll be there and I can’t wait to have dinner at some point with him! Maybe our traditional run to Five Guys or Chik Fil A (can you tell I love food?)
-Meeting up with photographer friends for coffee hopefully (you ladies know who you are)!!
-And of course, going to a bhangra practice!!! The team looks AMAZING this year and I can’t wait to see them practicing in person for their upcoming competition in Toronto (going international yo)!
That’s it for today! If I left out any Charlottesville fall must do things, let me know! And for all of you guys that will be back in the Ville for YAR, let me know so we can make plans before the craziness of the weekend hits!! Hope you guys have some exciting things lined up for this weekend 🙂
