In today’s video I’m walking you through my yearly business planning process and how this differentiates from the quarterly planning that I do throughout the year!
I will say that this probably accounts for 25% of my planning and I leave the other 75% to the quarterly planning sessions so I can adapt as things shift & change throughout the year.
I use a 2024 calendar to get a quick overview of the year: here’s the LINK TO THE CALENDAR that I use annually!
In the past I had wedding dates, shoots, vacations, birthdays, and other days blocked off for time off.
I also always add in my Monthly Marketing and Monthly Duty/Admin days as well as my Quarterly Reset days to this at the beginning of the years so that time is blocked out well in advance!
I do also take a look at expected income throughout the year and my finances to set money-related goals!
I reflect on the past year’s goals, how I did, what felt challenging and what are some main business projects or goals I’d like to focus on for the upcoming year — these are loose plans or ideas and I evaluate which goals or projects I really want to take on each quarter so they align with the time that I have on my schedule.
I look at what was challenging over the past year and if there are any tweaks or systems that I need to put in place or refine for more ease throughout the upcoming year.
Everything gets written down on a card in Asana that I reference each quarter when I go to plan in more detail!
I then map out times throughout the year that I want to focus on selling and which offers would make sense to during those times!
I then will take the time to map out some ideas for marketing ideas that would align with those specific offers!
