Today, I’m delving into psychology principles to help you work smarter, not harder in your business. This was a presentation that I gave recently for an online summit and I heard such great feedback that I wanted to bring it to the Youtube channel and my blog!

I’ve divided the presentation into two parts, with this video covering the first four essential tips to make it easier to track with. So, let’s dive in!

  1. Understanding Buyer Types: First off, let’s explore the four different buyer types you’re likely to encounter in your business. Each client falls into one of these categories, and it’s crucial to tailor your communication to their preferences to ensure they make confident hiring decisions.
  2. Implementing Psychological Insights: Now, let’s apply these insights to your business strategy. Craft your copy and communication channels to resonate with each buyer type. Utilize testimonials that share the client experience from their perspective. Incorporate bold statements and questions into your website copy to engage potential clients effectively.
  3. Combatting Decision Fatigue Using the 80/20 Principle: Avoid decision fatigue by allocating specific times for different tasks and incorporating CEO days into your schedule for reflection and planning. Break down tasks into smaller, manageable chunks to reduce overwhelm and increase productivity.
  4. Time Management Tips to Find Your Focus

Did you know that the way we relate to our tasks affects our perception of time? Watch the video to learn more about how to leverage this principle to your advantage! And I also talked about how the principle of “chunking down” your tasks into smaller, manageable segments, each requiring no more than 15-30 minutes to complete. This helps reduce the activation energy needed to initiate larger projects, enhancing your overall productivity and efficiency!

By understanding the psychology behind buyer behavior and decision-making, you can refine your business strategies to work smarter, not harder — especially if you’re working off of limited time each week if you’re working a full/part-time job or wrangling the kiddos!

Stay tuned for Part 2 coming next week! I truly believe that success in your photography business isn’t just about the technical aspects—it’s about mastering the psychological aspects too.
