Last year I decided to rush an engineering sorority called A.O.E. here at UVA. Those who know me were pretty surprised about my decision since I don’t exactly fit your stereotype of a sorority girl. However, the reason I followed through with rush continues to be the reason why I love A.O.E. today and that’s due to the fact that I got to meet and connect with some pretty amazing girls who were able to share my triumphs and struggles of being a female engineer at UVA. Grace is one of those girls that handles everything from her academics to extracurricular activities, well with a certain kind of grace that’s hard to describe.
I was so honored that she came to me for portraits and I was even happier when her friend and roommate Brianna was able to join. It’s easy to tell how well these two girls get along. I loved how well these two’s outfits matched each others!
The lighting at the McIntire patio was perfect!
These two know how to have fun and I’m so glad they were down to play around in the leaves despite the students walking by right behind me. We also made sure to get the Rotunda in the back of their pictures despite its current scaffolded state.
Thanks for asking me to take these! I hope you two have a fantastic rest of your fourth year and that these pictures capture the spirit of your last year here at UVA!
