Doing anything for the first time is definitely nerve-wracking, anxiety inducing and generally not super fun for me, but I’m hosting my very first workshop for newer photographers in July and the fact that I am more excited than I am nervous about it is probably a sign that I’m onto something right! I started dreaming up what this would look like in January and quite literally made ALL my slides in 2 days when everyone in India was napping in the afternoons because I was really THAT excited about it!! I can’t wait to share everything that I’ve learned over the past couple of years with the attendees and help them dive into any pain points they’re looking to resolve as their goals for this year! When I was first started photography I knew that I wanted to learn as much as possible from someone who was photographing weddings for a living!! Sure there were so many helpful articles, blog posts, videos and webinars out there that I inhaled (yes, inhaled, I was a SPONGE) but I also knew that getting to learn from someone in person, make that face to face connection with them as well as other people in the same boat was invaluable. The only problem was that any workshop that I came across was quite frankly, expensive, and rightfully so!! It was hard to invest in that experience when I was still saving up to buy a new lens that I knew I’d need for a wedding day. I’ve talked with Jontell about this SO MUCH and this conundrum is really the heart behind why I’m hosting my workshop Friday, July 26th at Stone Tower Winery!
And let me tell you, it was NOT easy learning everything you need to when you’re first starting your business!
