Why a Monthly Business Audit Is a Game-Changer
Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most impactful habits I’ve built in my business: a simple monthly business audit.
I wouldn’t call it fancy and it doesn’t require a 42 tab spreadsheet and aside from the $7 I occasionally spend on a hazelnut latte to accompany it, it could also cost $0!
Each month, I carve out 20 minutes to reflect on what’s working and what’s not, what strategies are actually moving the needle, and what I can let go of in the upcoming month. If I’m in the midst of a super busy season, then this gets relegated to quarterly instead but I always feel a little bit lighter after this ritual so I do try to prioritize it ESPECIALLY during the busy months.
Usually it points out a few key things that I can improve upon that don’t take too much energy or effort to tweak throughout the year! These are the points that allow me (and my clients) to launch with ease, scale with intention, and stay out of the burnout spiral.
What a Monthly Business Audit Actually Looks Like
It’s easy to skip this step when your to-do list feels never-ending. But here’s what I’ve found:
The best-performing launches and businesses aren’t always driven by new trends.
They’re built on insights from past performance.
And they’re fueled by simple decisions based on what’s already working.
Every client I support as a launch strategist has had a turning point after we did one thing first: pause to audit. Check what worked well the last time. Because from that data comes a strategy that we can count on to work.
