My aunt convinced my brother & cousin to get all dressed up fancy and in their graduation robes to take family pictures, especially with their grandma, before my cousin left on his across the country road trip to San Francisco. It was burning outside but after a little conviction, bit by bit we got the entire family dressed up to take portraits.

I know this looks really silly but it’s a tradition. He picked up my cousin like this for his high school graduation so it was only right that he followed through for the college graduation.

It’s been a couple of weeks since my cousin moved out to San Francisco and we just FaceTimed him for the first time yesterday to see what his new life over there is like. I miss him a lot and am very grateful that I don’t have to be separated from my brother in a similar fashion. My brother will be coming to UVA with me in the fall & I can’t wait to see how he takes on college!
