Melony & Mike met during their first year at UVA in their math class! And this part gets me because this is one of my FAVORITE spots in Charlottesville, but they actually had their first date at Sal’s downtown and get this, it was on Valentine’s Day and at the end of the dinner, Mike said “oh btw, we’re Dutch dating!”
Melony & Mike are so easygoing and fun to be around. Melony loves his patience and Mike says he loves her cooking and her kindness. They were SO easy to photograph all around DC. They kept making inside jokes and giggling throughout the entire time making my job so very easy!
We started out at the Capitol since they had one of their first few dates in the area! Although there was a lot of construction we got a ton of beautiful images in the Library of Congress area and a few overlooking the Capitol from afar before heading down to Senate Park!
They were so classy and dressed up – just like they often are for a night out collecting Michelin stars (truly an MP couple being foodies!)
Melony & Mike thank you so much for trusting this season of your life and for capturing your special day!! I’m counting down the days to celebrate them tie the knot this October with all their friends & family! I can’t wait to be there with you as you make it official after years of dating each other at UVA and beyond!! π
