Winter Wedding at John Marshall Ballroom Richmond Virginia Wedding
Ending the 2019 season was bittersweet but I am so grateful that I got to do so celebrating alongside Mary & Rory for their John Marshall Ballroom wedding! They had the most beautiful winter wedding with emerald green and dashes of gold sprinkled throughout. SO many tears shed & heartfelt moments throughout their entire day. And the one thing that Rory requested for their wedding day was a live band. They ended up dancing the night away thanks to The Krewe that kept the dance floor on fire the entire time, my kind of wedding!!
Mary & Rory started dating after they met through the SEP program run by UVA to teach middle schoolers and high schoolers over the summer. They had a mutual friend that brought them together (Hi Callie!!). I absolutely loved getting to know them through their engagement session and hearing about their quirks during the wedding day toasts! Mary & Rory are two of the sweetest souls, know how to laugh and have a good time with each other and their friends, and also, they have some KILLER moves! I have to say, their first dance was one of my favorites of 2019!! They also included beautiful family heirlooms throughout their day including Mary’s mother’s veil that she wore, beautiful earrings that Rory had gifted her for Valentine’s Day and Rory’s grandfathers’ special pocket watch.
I can’t wait to end out the year with editing the rest of their wedding day images! Mary & Rory, thank you for being so incredibly kind to me throughout the entire experience and for treating me more like a friend than a vendor on your big day! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that and truly am so grateful to have helped capture the start of your marriage together! Cheers!
