Christine and Kenneth are two of the most hardworking people I know! Christine currently works as a nurse in D.C. and Kenneth was both working and doing graduate school at Georgetown University until very recently! Talk about the quintessential power D.C. couple! AND they just closed on a house out in Arlington so I essentially strive to be these two in a couple of years 🙂 Finding a day that worked with all three of our schedules for the engagement session took some planning but I’m so glad that we were able to find a day that was PERFECT for these two 🙂 They are so incredibly excited for their wedding day coming up and I’m so honored to capture their day!
They chose to have their engagement session at the Wharf since they had one of their first dates there! I love when couples choose a location that ties into their story. Their first date had involved spending time at Pearl Street Warehouse and then grabbing ice cream at Ben and Jerry’s (her love language she jokes). Before they knew it, their first date had lasted over 3 hours long! And as they had started dating, they often found themselves on more dates, some of which lasted over 12 hours long all around D.C.! Christine has never been the kind of person to believe in “the one,” but I think Kenneth was able to help her change her mind on that! It was so fun to go back to where it all began and capture their engagement sessions as a part of their story! They were dressed with just a touch of nautical vibes aka they are my kind of people!
Christine & Kenneth’s day is coming up SO quickly in June at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek. From seeing her wedding dress (no spoilers here other than it’s unlike ANYTHING else I’ve ever seen!!), I can tell you that I have a hunch it’s going to be one of the most elegant yet simple ones of the year!
Pearl Street where they had their first date!!
So cute! 😀
And of course we had to end at Ben & Jerry’s!
