Brittney reached out to me after I had posted on a forum to see if she could have some portraits taken of her and her husband together. Since I was still in the planning stages of putting together my fall mini sessions, I got to work with her to figure out what date would work best for all three of us and then set that as the date that I would tell others for the sessions! It ended up working out pretty well! After almost having to cancel due to rain (classic Virginia weather move), the rain held out and we got to meet up to take pictures in Georgetown! When I asked her what donuts she and Malcolm wanted, she said “he wants chocolate and I’d like vanilla…much like our personalities, exact opposites.” But opposites clearly attract! These two are the perfect match: she’s the one that can keep all the logistics nailed down to a T as a wedding event planner and he’s the heart and soul behind her telling her that she can make something out of her talents. This is how after putting together events for some of her friends, Malcolm encouraged her to take the leap and start up Events by Brittney, a Wedding and Event Planning Boutique based out of Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia. Brittney told me that she originally got into events after she managed law school, a part time job, and planning her whole wedding incredibly smoothly! So if you ever need someone to stay super on top of helping you plan an event out, Brittney is your girl!
I loved being able to take their pictures in Georgetown because we still had a bunch of fall colors remaining despite it mid-November! She had really wanted some of her engagement pictures to be taken during the fall time and remember that one of her favorite pictures was her ring nestled in some gorgeous fall leaves. Brittney, I hope you love that we were able to capture some of those fall colors in your pictures and that these will always remind you of that season of your life 🙂 I love that you’re planning on printing your photos out for your holiday cards and I can’t wait to see them come to life!
These are just a few of my favorites from our time together 🙂
