Ashburn Virginia Wedding – Margaret & Brian’s Leap Day Wedding
Every so often you have a wedding day that you know BEFORE is going to be incredibly emotional & heartfelt. Margaret & Brian were officially married on November 24th during Thanksgiving Week and had a small intimate wedding in their home so that Margaret’s dad would be able to witness his daughter’s marriage before he passed away. They pulled the ENTIRE thing together in about 5 hours so that her dad would be able to be awake and witness it before he passed. Their entire family came together to make it all happen & everything was pulled together so beautifully in a way with every family member pitching in.
Her father passed only a little bit later and although his passing is still fresh in their minds, they wanted to go ahead and have their Leap Day wedding, to celebrate with more friends and family, but also to honor him. At the wedding, they had a chair placed for him at their ceremony and his presence was never missed throughout the entire day. Margaret & Brian exchanged their vows & rings and Margaret’s brother took on the incredibly important role of walking her down the aisle. I loved that they exchanged love letters in private as well the night before and sealed it with a bottle of wine to open up on their anniversary. It’ll be such a sweet way to celebrate their anniversary in a year.
Moriah of Detail Savvy Events didn’t miss a single little detail to make their navy & silver wedding day incredibly unique! Scroll on down for some beautiful moments from their wedding day, it’ll be one I’ll never forget. Margaret values photography SO much and it was an absolute privilege to be the one she chose to capture their wedding day! I hope her wedding photographs do their day justice & that they’ll be love looking back on them years in the future to remember!
